In 1955 my family and I moved to Florida from Pennsylvania. There were
so many different types of plants here that would not grow in the North year
round. So my mother, Jeanette, started growing all kinds of plants.
She was so fascinated by them. Soon she had so many, she decided to start
selling them. She did very well with this new hobby. It was just a
plain, old back yard nursery. My dad, Jack helped my Mom with the
hard or heavy things; he wasn't into the growing part since he had his own
occupation.
In 1996, after the passing of my Mom, my husband Jim took charge of
the nursery. Our daughter, Susie helps us with the Nursery as well.
I always wanted my Mom and dad to be a part of this nursery that they started,
so to honor them and my husband (which is doing the work now), I gave our
nursery the name "JJJ's Nursery".
It is still an old back yard nursery and anyone is welcome. So when you
come to our nursery take your time to look around. There is a lot to see
and if you get thirsty we will get you a good, cold glass of tea!
